Automation of oil production

In this paper an attempt is made to compare several methods used for the purpose of risk analysis in cases of water pollution emergencies. The importance of the existence of quality assurance and quality control programs is highlighted. 
The risk management protocols frequently used for such purposes are thoroughly analyzed and discussed. Various methods aiming to the identification and evaluation of risks are demonstrated, such as the Bayesian formula, the Mortmethod, the Geographic Information System, and the Fuzzy fault tree analysis (FFTA). Action recommendations in order to avoid as much as possible the catastrophic consequences of an accident in the aquatic environment are provided.

This study was conducted to investigate the antioxidant activity and total phenolic
compounds of the Moringa oleifera leaves. Ultrasonic assisted extraction (UAE) technique was employed with methanol as a solvent. The temperature and sonication time were varied from 30 to 45°C and 10 to 30 min, respectively at fixed ultrasonic power of 560 Watts. A 1,1 -diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging and Folin – Ciocalteu assay were used to determine the antioxidant activity and total phenolic content (TPC), respectively. The extracts obtained showed changes in the antioxidant activity and total phenolic content that with the increased of extraction temperature and sonication time. The highest antioxidant activity of
72.44 ± 0.0575 % and phenolic content of 328.87 ± 0.0516 mg (GAE)/mg) were obtained at 45℃ and 30 min, respectively. Hence, UAE is suitable to extract bioactive compounds from Moringa oleifera leaves and thus, can become an alternative for antioxidants processing method.

The  recovery  and  use  of  oil  has  lead  to  tremendous  technological  progress  worldwide.  The  amount  of  power available to the human population has grown, manual labor has virtually disappeared, people are travelling very long distances  and  labor  efficiency  has  increased  at  a  massive  scale.  The  impact  of  oil  &  gas  production  on  our environment – and on mankind’s moral compass – has become evident.

Current Issues of Oil Production at Offshore Fields

The Riserless Mud Recovery (RMR) system is an advanced drilling technology used in a deepwater formation with a narrow  safety density window.  In using the RMR system for drilling operations, it is also necessary to make a connection and round trip to ensure that the drilling operations reach the reservoir depth.  This paper used the problem of bottom hole  pressure  change  during  the  U-tube  effect  in the RMR  system  as  the research  background.  We  then  built a mathematical model to determine the relationship between the bottom hole pressure and the annulus fluid return velocity during the period. The changes were simulated numerically, and the corresponding method of bottom hole pressure 
control was finally proposed. The research results show that the greater the displacement of the drilling pump on the platform before shutting down, the greater the return velocity of the fluid in the annulus, but the duration of the U-tube effect is not affected. During the U-tube effect, the greater the displacement of the drilling pump before shutting down, the greater the bottom hole pressure of the RMR system, but it will eventually stabilize at the same value. During the U-tube effect, the bottom hole pressure can be kept constant by adjusting the inlet pressure of the subsea pump of  the RMR system.
